The General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises (TİGEM) is being used as the central headquarters of the al-Qaeda affiliated gang groups attacking Kurds in the western Kurdistan territory, Rojava. The headquarters is being used as the storehouse of their arms, ammunition and food, while the gang members wounded in clashes in Rojava are also brought to the TİGEM building which is closed to civilians.
The AKP government continues to provide military, diplomatic and financial support for the al-Qaeda linked ISIS (Islamic state of Iraq and ash-Sham) and al-Nusra Front that have been attacking the regions of Serêkaniyê, Til Abyat, Afrin, Kobani, Çil Axa, Girkê Legê, Til Koçer and Til Xelef in western Kurdistan since mid July. The gang groups are also being provided with arm, ammunition and food.
Besides the military and financial aids trasferred to gang groups via the border crossing points in Hatay, Kilis and Akçakale, the Turkish government is providing the most significant support in Ceylanpınar by also allowing the gangs to use the building of TİGEM which is the largest state hatchery since 1950. Rojava and Turkey share 110 kilometers borderline, from Ceylanpınar to Akçakale on Turkey's side.
TİGEM building which is closed to civilians, located in a forbidden zone, is being monitored by a total of 142 cameras day and night.
Some local sources speaking to ANF remarked that the examination of the security footage of TİGEM would expose the arm and ammunition support Turkey has given to these groups since late July.
Having provided the gang groups with all kinds of support via Ceylanpınar border gate till mid July, the AKP government closed the border gate after YPG (People's Defense Units) seized its control on 16-17 July.
After closing the border gate, Turkish authorities opened two new gates (cross points) into Rojava from Ceylanpınar in order to prevent the YPG fighters from taking the control of the Til Xelef town across the district.
One of the gates is opened into a bridge on the River Habur, three km away from the border gate, before Til Xelef. The other cross point passes through a hatchery between Ceylanpınar and Akçakale.
The town of Til Xelef is currently serving as a central headquarters for gang members coming from Afghanistan, Chechnia, Turkey, Qatar and Egypt.
The government has also beefed up its ammunition and food backing since July to prevent the loss of Til Xelef for this would mean opening Kurds the way to Tal Abyad and Kobani.
According to information ANF received from local sources, aids for the gang groups in Til Xelef are currently being transferred via these two mobile gates opened from inside the TİGEM building. Illegal border crossings of armed gang members into Rojava are also being allowed in the villages of Zenginova, Akçaköy and Kepezli between Ceylanpınar and Akçakale, as well as in the mainly Arabic villages of Maden and Aşağıoduruklu between Serêkaniyê and Dirbêsiyê.
The transfer of aids and wounded gang members are being enabled via these two gates, and the mentioned Arabic villages, in defiance of the national and international law.
Dozens of gang members recently wounded in clashes with YPG fighters have been rushed to the TİGEM building in Ceylanpınar and then referred to Akçakale State Hospital with ambulances.
This last happened on 2-3 September when at least 14 gang members, wounded in the YPG operation in Til Xelef, were referred to Urfa (Riha) Balıklıgöl Hospital and Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital.
Some 40 members of the gang groups have reportedly been treated in the two mentioned hospitals since the expansive Martyr Çekjin Efrin Revolutionary Operation YPG launched one week ago.
