People's Defence Forces Press Centre [HPG-BIM] reported in a written statement that clashes have taken place between HPG guerrillas -YBS (Sinjar Resistance Units) fighters and ISIS gangs attacking the Mount Sinjar region.

HPG-BIM stated that clashes erupted after HPG and YBS forces responded to the attacks of the ISIS gangs attacking the Mount Sinjar area from the Solak region of Sinjar since 21 October, with an aim to enter the area held by Kurdish forces.

The HPG statement said 15 gang members were killed in ongoing fighting in the mentioned region.
