Fierce clashes are taking place around the town of Serêkaniyê (Ras al-Ayn) in Rojava between ISIS gangs and YPG/YPJ forces. The area where the clashes are taking place is between Kobanê (Ayn al-Arab) and the Cizire (Jazireh) Canton.

An operation launched by YPG/YPJ forces on gangs in Serêkaniyê is continuing. Last night at around 10 pm many gang members were killed in an operation in the villages of Mebruka, Dehma and Rawiya. Two vehicles with anti-aircraft weapons mounted on them were destroyed.  

YPG forces also ambushed reinforcements coming from Tel Abyad. This area between Serêkaniye and Tel Abyad (Grê Spî) is the link between Kobanê and Cizire canton.

It is known that the gangs have stepped up their attacks on both cantons thanks to military and logistic aid from the Turkish border.
