Clashes broke out between Turkish military and People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas in Hakkari’s Þemdinli district in the early evening hours on Sunday.

Two soldiers died and seven others were wounded in the severe clashes in Boðazköy Bridge area which stands 30 km away from the district of Þemdinli. Turkish helicopters were used by the military in the operation in which clashes expanded to a larger area in the following hours.

Some of the wounded soldiers are reported to be facing critical situation.
