Clashes intensify to the northwest of Mosul

Iraqi army has launched an operation on Tilkef town of the ISIS-occupied Mosul city.

After the eastern side of the ISIS-occupied Mosul city was taken under full control yesterday, Iraqi army has launched an operation on Tilkef town, 18 km northwest of Mosul, which remains under the siege of military forces for around 2 months.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi said in a press conference yesterday that many locations in Mosul had been liberated in addition to the eastern side of the city.

Abadi stated that Iraqi forces continue their advance for an entire liberation of Mosul, adding that the liberation of the city and victory was near.
