Classes begin in Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor

285.000 students in 931 schools in Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor have started the new education year today.

Education committees appointed 11.400 teachers in 931 schools for the education year in Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor.

The education committees of the liberated areas had started teacher training programs before the new year on formation and teaching methods.

Teachers in the program who are university and institute graduates have prepared for the new year through a well-executed training term, according to the education committee officials.

120.000 students in Raqqa and its surroundings faced the first class of the year in 281 schools, 32 of which were secondary and prep schools, with 4.100 teachers.

In Tabqa, 2.000 teachers and 57.493 students started classes in 200 schools.

In 450 schools in and around Deir ez-Zor, 5.300 teachers have started classes. According to the Deir ez-Zor Education Committee, 108.000 students started their education in the region today. Education Committee officials said registrations continue in the recently liberated Baghouz and Behre regions.

Raqqa Civilian Assembly Education Committee Co-chair Ali Al-Shenan wished a successful new year in education and added that this year will be better than previous years thanks to the training programs for the teachers.
