Coalition representatives meet with the Civil Council of Tabqa
Following Thursday’s meeting with Raqqa Civil Council, representatives of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS have met with the Civil Council of Tabqa on Friday.
Following Thursday’s meeting with Raqqa Civil Council, representatives of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS have met with the Civil Council of Tabqa on Friday.
A committee including Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS Brett McGurk, Commander Deputy of the Global Coalition Robert Jones and other leading figures from the U.S., France and England paid a visit to the city of Tabqa where they had talks with local authorities on Friday.
Co-chairs of Tabqa Civil Council Roşen Hemî and Ehmed Şeban and Tribes Conciliation Council President Hamid Ebdullrehman as well as opinion leaders of the region attended the meeting with the delegation, that continued for two hours and was closed to media.
According to sources that attended the meeting, the International Coalition pledged to provide support for the water and electricity distribution, renovation of Tabqa's hospital, construction of schools and aiding the refugees in Tabqa.
