After transferring two Sunni prisoners who have been on hunger strike for 31 days to the prison’s hospital, the doctor in charge has warned about the condition of other prisoners on hunger strike.

Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) had reported on Monday, the 28th day of hunger strike by six Sunni prisoners of conscience, that two of them had collapsed and were transferred to the prison’s hospital.

The samen agency had reported earlier in the week that at least 1800 other prisoners of Unit 2 in Ghezelhesar prison, are on hunger strike.

The protest begun after the transfer of yet another 11 prisoners of the unit to the place of their execution.
