Court in Hakkari sends 12 people to jail

Turkish judiciary arrested 12 of the 13 people taken into custody in Hakkari.

Turkish police had taken 13 people into custody within the scope of the investigations targeting the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) in Hakkari city center and in Şemdinli, Çukurca and Yüksekova districts.

Those detained were taken to court today. While Hevidar Ertunç was released, the other 12 people were sent to Hakkari Prison.

The names of the 12 people arrested are as follows: Former Co-mayor of Hakkari Municipality Şükrü Çallı, İHD Şemdinli manager Pınar Yılmaz, Nihat Turgut, Ramazan Erik, Mehmet Emin Seven, Ömer Faruk Tekin, Mesut Kıratlı, Reşît Güneç, Mehmet Cross, Ümit Duman, Felem Aker, Musa Bor.
