Court releases 4 women activists on bail

Four of the 18 people who were taken into custody as a result of the political genocide operations carried out in Amed on Friday were released on bail while 14 people continue to be heard in court.

The Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office released TJA activist Zelal Bilgin, founding member of the Rosa Women's Association, Ayla Akat Ata, Yenişehir Municipality Council member Nevriye Çur and Nazire Tursun on bail today.

Rosa Women's Association President Adalet Kaya, founder Narin Gezgör and association executive Fatma Gültekin, Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA) activist Gülcihan Şimşek, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) previous term Co-chair Mehmet Arslan, Peoples Democratic Party (HDP) Central Executive Committee (MYK) Özlem Gündüz member, HDP Yenişehir District Co-chairman Remziye Sızıcı, Bağlar Municipality Council members Hüseyin Harman and Gönül Aslan, Amed Metropolitan Municipality Council member Sevim Coşkun, HDP member Mehmet Ali Altınkaynak, Kurdish politician Celal Yoldaş, Amed Peace Mothers Council member Havva Kıran and Veysi Kuzu continue to be held while they are called to declared in court.
