Court sends six dismissed workers to prison

Six people from the Yüksel Resistance, who have been detained in Ankara TEM Branch for 8 days, were arrested by the court.

Public workers have been resisting for 4 years to be reinstated to their jobs having been unlawfully dismissed under the state of emergency decrees.

Six of the seven public workers from the Yüksel Resistance, who have been detained for 8 days, were arrested today by the court they were taken to in Ankara on the allegation of "membership of an illegal organization".

Teachers Acun Karadağ, Mehmet Dersulu, health officer Mahmut Konut, register officials Nazan Bozkurt and Alev Şahin, teacher Mehmet Dersulu and Armağan Özbaş were arrested, while Gülnaz Bozkurt was released on condition of judicial control.
