Court sentences DBP members Birtek and Balta to 10 years in jail
DBP members Bermal Birtek and Ergin Balta were sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison each.
Erzurum Court of Appeals emitted it sentence in the retrial of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) former party assembly members Bermal Birtek and Ergin Balta.
The Court sentenced the two HDP executives to prison for 10 years and 6 months each. The trial was held at the Muş 2nd High Criminal Court.
The two HDP executives joined the hearing via video system SEGBIS, Birtek from Sincan Prison and Balta from Patnos L Type High Security Prison.
