Covid-19: Death toll rises to 9, confirmed cases to 670 in Turkey

311 more cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Turkey during the past 24 hours while death toll rose to 9.

Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca announced the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus pandemic in the country Friday night.

The minister said on Twitter that 3,656 people were tested during the past 24 hours. 311 of these tested positive, bringing the total number to 670.

Accoding to Koca, the death toll from coronavirus rose to 9, all of whom were elderly people. He called for the protection of the elderly people in the country.

The confirmed cases of corona infection have doubled almost each day since the first case was officially announced on March 10.
