A delegation from the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) has been on a visit to Turkey for one week for examination in prisons.

Despite all the demands for a visit to İmralı and growing concerns over Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's well being, the CPT delegation did not pay a visit to İmralı Island Prison where he is held in aggravated isolation.
