A delegation of the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) has conveyed a demand to meet the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı prison this week.

The delegation, made up of HDP group deputy co-chairs İdris Baluken and Pervin Buldan, and Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, has made an official application to the government for a meeting which is highly expected to take place at the weekend and will be of importance in relation with the process of democratic resolution as Öcalan is expected to make statements regarding the course of the process.
