A curfew was declared by the Governor of Mardin as protests in solidarity with Kobanê are getting violent across North Kurdistan with security forces staging brutal crackdowns on protestors at the scene of almost every single demo staged by tens of thousands today across the country.

The curfew has been ordered at 5 p.m. local time for the districts of Kızıltepe, Nusaybin, Derik, Dargeçit, Mazıdağı and Savur.
