The Democracy Vigil held in front of the HDP Mardin headquarters against the seizure of the municipality has continued for 27 days. The HDP group was again prevented by the police from staging their action at the Karayolları Park in the city center.

Speaking at the sit-in action outside the HDP offices, HDP Amed MP Dersim Dağ said; “We reclaim our municipalities and our will. We will also continue our fight against the provocations spread over the sit-in action in front of Diyarbakır HDP headquarters. We will do our utmost effort for the freedom and peace of these lands. Let them do anything in their power. Our only answer will be to enhance our struggle. Through the usurpation, they want to start a conflict in the country. They want to repeat what they did in 2016.”

Recalling Öcalan’s most recent message that he could eliminate the matter and possibility of conflict within a week if provided with the opportunity, Dağ said; “We call upon the government to hold this hand of peace. You should know that you will end up defeated by these policies of war.”
