At the opening of the award ceremony, the women's group Kevana Zêrîn, which carries out musical activities within Paris Tev-Çand, took the stage. Corinne Morel Darleux was the moderator of the night. Darleux took the Rojava delegation to the stage, followed by Gilbert Mitterrand for the opening speech.

Gilbert Mitterrand, greeting the Rojava delegation, said: “While the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and those living in northern and eastern Syria have been fighting against ISIS for years, Turkey's repeated attacks and threats of invasion put peoples' peaceful coexistence and women's liberation at risk. This award is also a reflection of our support and solidarity.”
Members of the Rojava delegation took the floor one by one and thanked the Foundation for the award, expressing that Rojava will continue to be the territory of living and producing together. The delegation said that they have been in contact with various cities in France for a week, and drew attention to the fact that their visit was postponed due to air strikes by Turkey.
Many speakers also said that the project realized in Northern and Eastern Syria was a source of inspiration. Somayeh Rostampour, Senator Laurence Cohen, Veronique De Geoffroy, Creche Mayor Laettia Hamot, Zoe Lorioux Chevallier Poitiers Municipality Foreign Relations Officer and JASMINES project spokesperson also took the floor and gave short speeches, while Rojava's life on democracy and women It was emphasized that he was a source of inspiration with his basic principles, lifestyle and alternatives.
Reminding that it is necessary to support the diversity and strength of the political and social experiments carried out in the north and east of Syria, the speakers also called on France to take part in Turkey's attacks.
