Thousands have started to gather at Taksim Gezi Park upon the call by Taksim Solidarity on the sixth day of the Gezi Park resistance.

Concerts and activities will be taking place during the whole day in the area which has been cleaned out by protestors since last night as refuse collection vehicles couldn't enter the area.

Protestors have also formed supply communes for the provision of food and drink for the mass. Often announcements are being made about the course of the resistance.

A number of political parties and organizations and institutions are expected to be in the area today. Speeches will be made in the park area by various groups and circles.

Among today's events is also the 'Vigil for Justice and Conscience' by the families of workers killed in work accidents. Families, who stage their monthly vigil on the fourth Sunday each month, in front of Galatasaray High School, are in the park today to diplay solidarity with the Taksim resistance.
