Day two of the long march for Ocalan in Duisburg

SPD state parliamentarian Frank Börner visited the DTKM and condemned the intervention of Duisburg police, stating that attempting to arrest a hunger striker was against human rights.

The long march against Ocalan’s isolation continues on the second day in Germany’s Duisburg city.

On its second day the long march kicked off in front of the Duisburg Central Station.

 

Yesterday on the first day of the march, the German police raided the office of the Kurdish Democratic Society Center (DTKM) and tried to take Kurdish hunger striker Mustafa Tuzak into custody.

German MP Börner: We stand with the Kurds

After the police intervention, the SPD state parliamentarian Frank Börner visited the DTKM and condemned the intervention of Duisburg police, stating that such treatment against a hunger striker was against human rights.

Börner also condemned the repression of the AKP government against the Kurds, stressing that they support Leyla Guven and hunger strikers in Kurdistan and Europe. He said they stand with the Kurdish people and their demands.

The marchers will cover 10 kilometers to reach Duisburg-Statsberg today. On Saturday, the activists will join the second axis of the march moving from Bonn-Cologne in front of the DGB Haus in Düsseldorf, and will continue their demonstration.
