DBP co-chair Bayındır: The entire Turkey is in isolation

DBP co-chair Keskin Bayındır emphasized that if there is a drift in the Kurdish Movement, fascism will be strengthened.

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) ended its three-stage campaign with "Human Chain" actions it carried out in many cities on September 1.

Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-chair Keskin Bayındır was among those who took part in all these activities.

Speaking to ANF, Bayındır said that the AKP-MHP regime shared its special and dirty policies towards the basic values of the Kurdish people with the society. “We tried to form the basis for a total struggle against all these dirty policies in the upcoming period. This was confirmed by the political parties, trade unions, non-governmental organizations and public meetings we met during this campaign process: The Kurdish political movement is the most important force in this period of fascism we are facing. This has reinforced our responsibility."

Reminding that a very systematic and comprehensive isolation policy is implemented against people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Bayındır continued: “We stated from the very beginning that the isolation policy imposed on Mr. Öcalan would spread to the whole society. The AKP-MHP regime shapes its ruling character through this. Ending isolation has ceased to be an issue where the Kurdish people and their institutions struggle alone. What we need is a society fighting against that in the whole of Turkey. We shared the need for this in all our meetings."

Noting that throughout the campaign, they repeated that the economic and political crises stemmed from the reluctance in solving the Kurdish problem, Bayındır said: “The government hides the economic crisis behind its war policies. We said it clear to the people of Turkey: If there is the slightest tension and drift in the Kurdish democratic politics today, fascism will strengthen itself. That is why they need to stand by the Kurdish political movement that is fighting against fascism."
