DBP Co-chair Tuncel and HDP MP Akdoğan transferred to Silivri Prison

DBP Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel and HDP Hakkari MP Nihat Akdoğan have been sent to the Silivri Prison in Istanbul.

Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel was arrested on allegations of “membership to a terrorist organization” when 7 separate inquiries were combined into one last week with the excuse of an inquiry case file against the DTK that some policemen, judges and prosecutors who are “FETÖ/PDY” members had prepared.

Tuncel had been battered and detained in front of the Diyarbakır Courthouse on November 4 during a protest against the arrests of HDP Co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ and 10 HDP MPs, and placed in Diyarbakır Type E Prison yesterday. Held here since, Tuncel has been sent to the Silivri Prison in Istanbul today.

HDP MP for Hakkari Nihat Akdoğan who was arrested yesterday on alleged charges of “membership to a terrorist organization” was also sent to Silivri Prison today.
