DBP Co-President Sebahat Tuncel, who had been detained during the police attack on the protest on the arrest of HDP Co-Presidents and parliamentarians on November 4 in front of Amed Courthouse, was brought to Amed Courthouse today. After giving her statement, Tuncel was charged with ‘membership in and doing propaganda for an armed organization’ and arrested.

DBP Co-President Kamuran Yüksek stated that the arrest was illegal and showed that the rule of law has been suspended in the country. Yüksek noted that they would issue a detailed statement on the political arrest tomorrow at 10:00 in the DBP Headquarters in Amed.
