DBP summons people to Suruç in spirit of mobilisation for Kobanê
The DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) has called on everyone, especially its branches in towns and cities, to go to Suruç in a spirit of mobilisation for Kobanê.
The DBP has issued a written statement, calling for resistance. In the statement, it said that ISIS gangs have been carrying out massacres by attacking the Kurdish people and peoples of the Middle East for 2 years.
The DBP statement pointed out that the people in Rojava are carrying on an honourable fight with all of their power, resisting against these gangs despite the embargo and lack of resources, adding; "This resistance has saved human dignity from being trampled on. As was seen in the latest ISIS attack on South Kurdistan, this barbaric gang organisation has no ethical values or limits. It is abundantly clear that the main purpose of the ISIS gangs is to overwhelm the gains of Rojava and the Kurdish people.”
The statement also emphasised that the attacks of the ISIS gangs on Kobanê have reached a serious level, adding: "we have to state that we will not be mere spectators of the honourable Rojava resistance. All non governmental organisations and responsible institutions have to go to Suruç as soon as possible in a spirit of mobilisation in order to gather around the Rojava Revolution, to join the revolution and to support it. We must unite against the attacks and defeat them. This means to protect the gained values. As DBP, we call on our all organisations and all our people to go to the Suruç district of Urfa to protect the Kobanê Revolution and to oppose the attacks of the ISIS gangs"
