Thuringia's left-wing Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow has received death threats by pro-AKP Turkish social media users after his tweets about his support to YPG. His wife is also threatened on Twitter.
Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow is reportedly receiving death threats after campaigning on Twitter for the Kurds in Afrin.
The threats against him started on Saturday night when he answered a pro-Kurdish tweet by the leader of the Hamburg left-wing group, Cansu Özdemir, with " YPG , YPG, YPG ...."

Prime Minister got death threats by Turkish Twitter users. Threats ranged from remarks such as "There is still room in the coffins" to threatened head shots, Ramelow said.
After that, a photo montage with sexual photos of his wife appeared on Saturday night, said Ramelow.
After ge reported this to the short message service as a crime, the photos were deleted by Twitter.
Ramelow also expressed his solidarity with the Kurds in further tweets: "Afrin stands for self-determination. And any attack by a NATO partner I perceive as a blow to our values and our freedom! It is the open breach of international law! Solidarity with Afrin!"
