Defend Kurdistan and Women Defend Rojava activists held a rally in Dresden and met with Deputy Merle Spellerberg to talk about the Turkish state's genocidal attacks, isolation and the ban on the PKK.

A Defend Kurdistan and Women Defend Rojava delegation held a meeting with Bundis90/Die Grünen Federal Assembly Member Merle Spellerberg in Dresden about the Turkish state's attacks on Kurdistan.

During the meeting, the activists asked the deputy to take a position against the illegal war waged by the Turkish state, calling a no-fly zone for Northern and Eastern Syria and ending the use of chemical weapons in Medya Defense Areas. The general criminalization of the Kurdish population with the ban on the PKK, arms shipments to the Turkish and Iranian states, and the situation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been in solitary confinement in Imrali for 23 years, were also discussed.

While the meeting was taking place, a rally was held in front of Grüne Ecke at Bischofsplatz with the participation of 30 activists to protest the war in Kurdistan.
