Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, deputies Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who have been named for the delegation to make the third visit to the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, are expected to pay the visit to Imralı Island today.
The third visit to the Kurdish leader comes short after the BDP, KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) and the Europe side have sent their reply letters to Öcalan in response to the draft text he had prepared for a solution to the Kurdish problem. Öcalan's letter to three adresses had been sent following the second visit of a BDP delegation on 23 February.
During the visit by the third delegation, Öcalan will make a statement which will be announced to the public in Newroz in Amed on 21 March.
On the other hand, it has been claimed that the three BDP members have already left for the island in the early morning hours.
