The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) issued a statement saying that "due to the recent clashes in Syria, Kurds, Arabs and other peoples face new massacres. Tens of thousands of people who sought refuge in Tall Rifaat are being especially targeted by gangs. We call on political circles, democratic forces, those who oppose war, human rights defenders, civil society organizations, the international community and institutions to raise their voices and react on democratic grounds and not remain silent and spectators to the developments."
