Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and Hakkari MP Abdullah Zeydan sent a message of condolence from prison for Aysel Tuğluk’s mother Hatun Tuğluk.
Demirtaş and Zeydan's message sent from the Edirne Prison is as follows:
“We have great sorrow for the passing of Hatun Tuğluk, mother of our Deputy Co-chair Aysel Tuğluk who has been unlawfully imprisoned. We offer our condolences for Ms. Tuğluk and her family and friends.
We condemn the disrespectful mob that dared to attack the funeral during the burial in Ankara. We want to stress that this mindset that has lost all moral and human values is a product of the AKP administrators and their media who constantly target us. We believe that the society in general won’t stand for this vile act and we know that millions of people’s hearts are with Aysel Tuğluk in her dire day.”
