Demirtaş: BDP and government to meet this week
Answering journalists' questions before the central executive board meeting of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) on Wednesday, co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş said that the meeting's agenda included the negotiation process, Gezi Park protests and local elections.
Demirtaş remarked that their party and the government would meet this week to discuss the developments concerning the democratic solution process. BDP co-chair said they had conveyed to government a reform package suggestion for democratization last week.
"We do not know yet how the government will handle the suggestions we offered. We will see at this week's meeting what their attitude will be towards the package we presented but I hope they will display a serious attitude, Demirtaş said.
BDP co-chair pointed out that they should pay visits to Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı prison two times a week from now on.
