Demirtaş denies rumors on new delegation to Imralı

Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş has today denied reports about a new delegation of BDP deputies who would be ready to go to Imralı to meet Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan. Demirtaş posted a statement on his Twitter account on Friday. He said the reports do not reflect the truth. “We request that you not pay heed to such reports unless confirmed by our political party. Reports about a delegation going to İmralı to hold talks with Öcalan are completely groundless. There is no such information sent to our party” read Demirtaş's statement.
Some Turkish newspapers had reported that a second delegation of Kurdish politicians will visit Abdullah Öcalan. The delegation, according to the reports, will include Ahmet Türk, Ayla Akat and Sırrı Sakık.
