The Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş said today that reports that Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chairs Aysel Tuğluk and Ahmet Türk brought Öcalan's letters to Kandil are unfounded. Demirtaş added, "We will convey Öcalan's letters to Kandil and Europe in the next couple of days."

Speaking to DIHA News Agency, Demirtaş said that the reports about the contents of the letters were not disclosed by the BDP and therefore cannot be taken as true. "What has been written - he said - is not healthy information. As it happens the government also knows the content of the letters, therefore one may assume the leaks come from circles near the government".
Demirtaş also asked the public to wait for the BDP's declarations rather than rely on leaks aimed at creating confusion and a distorted reality.
