BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş said that Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan is to be moved to a wider cell.

Demirtaş repeated what the Kurdish leader conveyed to the BDP delegation in his last meetin, i.e. that in order for him to be able to play a full role in the process towards peace his situation in prison needs to be improved.

"Changing Öcalan’s prison conditions - said the BDP co-chair - will positively affect the current process. Öcalan should be allowed to meet with intellectuals, writers, media members and wise people".

As to the Kurdish leader health, Demirtaş said he found him in good health, although, he added, the cell he is in is damp and this situation need to be dealt with.
