Speaking in Van at BDP provincial meeting, co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş said that "we have given the government the list of the second delegation from our party which will meet with Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı. Last week, - he added - we told the government we are ready. Now is the government's turn to move. If the government does not take any steps to further the talks, it is their responsibility".
Van BDP Provincial congress took place in Diren Wedding Hall on Saturday. The hall had been decorated with the colours of Kurdistan, red, green and yellow. A banner asked justice and truth for Sakine Cansız, a co-founder of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), Fidan Doğan, representative of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) in Paris, and Leyla Şaylemez, member of the Kurdish youth movement killed in Paris on 9 January. Other banners asked for an end to Öcalan' isolation, for peace and support for the Kurdish people's resistance in Syria. 
Police presence was high and security measures involved people being searched at the entrance of the congress place.
