In Bonn, freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and all political prisoners was demanded at a rally. The rally on the Münsterplatz was organized by the Kurdish Community Center in Bonn.

Banners read "The time has come - Freedom for Öcalan! If you want to live, live in freedom", "Against patriarchy - long live democratic autonomy! Against slavery - long live freedom!" and "Freedom for all political prisoners". At the rally, a statement from the Kurdish umbrella organization KON-MED was read and attention was drawn to the hunger strike of political prisoners in Turkey.

After the rally, the participants went united to the post office to send letters to UN Secretary General António Guterres. The letter campaign, launched in South Africa, calls on the United Nations to commit to a solution of the Kurdish question and an end to Öcalan's isolation.
