Kurds living in Toronto, Canada protested the Turkish state in front of the Ontario Federal Parliament building.
Answering the call of the Toronto Kurdish People's Democratic Assembly, Kurdish activists staged a demonstration in front of the Ontario Federal Parliament and condemned the Turkish chemical attacks against the guerrilla troops in South Kurdistan.
The protest started with a minute's silence. Protestors displayed banners that called attention to Turkey’s chemical attacks, as well as the PKK flag and images of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Hundreds of leaflets providing information about the Turkish state's war crimes and crimes against humanity were distributed during the protest.
Protestors urged Western governments and international institutions, including the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), to break their silence towards the criminal acts of the Turkish state.
