Demonstration against Erdoğan in Hamburg and Essen

Protests continue before Turkish President Erdoğan’s visit to Germany.

Demonstrations were held in Hamburg and Essen cities of Germany before Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to Germany on September 27.

HAMBURG

Hundreds joined the demonstration in Hamburg, held with the motto “Erdoğan not welcome”.

Speaking here, human rights advocate Anja Flach said “We don’t want to see murderer and dictator Erdoğan in our country”.

Left Party Hamburg State MP Cansu Özdemir said; “We don’t accept dictator Erdoğan’s visit to Germany. It is a shame for Germany to receive a person who deems all kinds of atrocity proper for the Kurdish people. Everyone should join the protest demonstrations. The German police allowing the demonstrations of fascists and obstructing ours is a hypocrite policy.”

“Murderer Erdoğan” and “Viva freedom struggle” slogans were chanted in the demonstration.

ESSEN

Kurds and their friends gathered in Essen city and protested against Erdoğan’s official visit to Germany.

Demonstrators also protested Erdoğan’s expected visit to DİTİB, an intelligence agency operating in the name of Islam in Cologne.

Speakers highlighted that 70% of Germans don’t want Erdoğan in their country.
