Demonstration in Switzerland for the freedom of Öcalan

Kurdish people living in Basel, Switzerland demonstrated against the aggravated isolation on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Upon the initiative of Ronahî Women’s Council, many Kurdish people joined a demonstration in Swiss city Basel, and protested against the aggravated isolation imposed by the Turkish state on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The activists set up a tent, raising banners of Öcalan, flags of the PKK, YPG and YPJ and chanting slogans in favor of the freedom of the Kurdish Leader.

After a minute of silence, Elif İşcan on behalf of Ronahî Women Council of Basel read out aloud a leaflet in German informing the public on the health conditions and current situation of the Kurdish leader. The same leaflet was distributed among the passers-by during the three hours of the activity.
