Demonstrations for Öcalan in France and Germany

Kurdish people living in France and Germany took to the streets in protest at the aggravated isolation imposed by the Turkish state on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
PARIS – FRANCE
Upon the initiative of Kurdish Women's Movement in France (TJK-F) and Democratic Kurdish Society Center in France (CDK-F), Kurds organized a demonstration in French capital city Paris to draw the attention of the public to the absolute isolation imposed on Öcalan.
Hundreds joined the demo in front of the Eiffel Tower with banners depicting the Kurdish leader, and huge letters reading "Freedom for Öcalan".
A statement made in the demonstration said that: “
"We have no information at all on what circumstances our Leader is held under in İmralı isolation system. The physical condition of our leader is our red line. Our protest demonstrations will continue until leader Apo is freed."
During the activity that was met with much interest by the French locals and the tourists, hundreds of leaflets on the details of İmralı isolation were distributed.
The demonstration was brought to an end with slogans "Freedom for Öcalan", "There is no life without Öcalan", and "Long Live Leader Apo".
MANNHEIM – GERMANY
Ronahî-Bêrîvan Women's Council opened an information stand in German city of Mannheim, and informed the public on the aggravated isolation imposed of the Kurdish people's leader.
The stand was pitched in front of the city's central station, where the activists distributed leaflets on the issue to passers-by. German Left Party parliamentarian in Mannheim, Gökay Akbulut, also attended and held a speech after the statement of Democratic Kurdish Society Center.
The activity ended with chants of the slogans "Woman, Life, Freedom" and "Long Live Leader Apo".
