OSLO

A demonstration was organized in Oslo, capital of Norway to condemn the aggravated isolation on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Demonstrators marched from the train station to the Parliament of Norway, chanting slogans for Öcalan’s freedom and calling on the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) to visit the Kurdish leader in İmralı Island High Security Prison where he is held. Protesters also condemned the policies of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and AKP government against the Kurdish leader and people.

Oslo Kurdish Assembly Co-chair Beger Muhammed Kurdistani and Norwegian writer and Red Party former MP Erling Folkvord held a speech in which they called attention to Öcalan’s role and demanded his freedom.

STAVANGER

Another demonstration was held in the Norwegian city of Stavanger where demonstrators handed out flyers regarding the health and security conditions of the Kurdish leader, chanting “Fascist Erdoğan” and “Fascist AKP”.

A speech on behalf of demonstrators called for further demonstrations for Öcalan’s freedom, and demanded freedom for the political prisoners in Turkey and Iran.
