The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state against Rojava, were condemned in many cities of Germany, including the capital Berlin.
BERLIN
Kurds and their friends came together at Alexanderplatz to attend the demonstration organised by Nav-Berlin, Dest-Dan Women's Assembly and PYD Berlin. The activists marched to the front of the Russian Embassy in Brandenburger Tor.
A statement called "Defend Rojava against Turkey's invasion of Kurdistan" was read. The silence of the international community was described as a "scandal".
The statement also called on the German government to end arms shipments to Turkey.
Activists collected signatures against the PKK ban during the march.
HANOVER
The Kurds and their friends gathered in front of the Hannover Hauptbahnhof to protest the attacks on Rojava with a rally and march.
Manuela Mast made a speech on behalf of Die Linke and said: "We have to be one single voice against these despicable attacks on Rojava. To remain silent is to be complicit. Silence kills. All parties and organizations must unite and protest Turkish attacks. Today is the day of unity.”
KIEL
A protest against the attacks carried out by the fascist Turkish state in Rojava was held in Kiel central train station. Kiel Alevi Association, Kiel Jiyana Jin, Kiel Antifa, Defend Kurdistan and German groups attended the action organized by Kiel Kurdish Cultural Center.
Activists said that the UN and EU, with their silence, played a role in the massacre of the Kurds.
STUTTGART
The attacks carried out by the Turkish state were protested with the slogan "Defend Rojava" in an action organised by the Defend Rojava Initiative in Stuttgart.
The rally held at Schlossplatz started with a minute’s silence in memory of the martyrs of the Kurdistan revolution.
Signatures were collected for the PKK to be removed from the list of terrorist organizations at the rally.
