Demos in Europe in solidarity with mothers of hunger strikers

Women wore white head scarves to draw attention to the hunger strike resistance demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Demonstrations and actions in solidarity with the mothers of hunger strikers who have been attacked by Turkish police have been held in Paris, Hamburg and Aarau (Switzerland).

Paris

The Kurdish Women's Movement held a sit-it in Chatelet square and handed out information leaflet about the isolation imposed on Öcalan as well as the hunger strike resistance. 

Hamburg

An action was organised in front of the Turkish Consulate in Hamburg to support the hunger strike resistance led by DTK co-chair Leyla Güven.

Aarau

In Aarau, Switzerland, young women and Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger activists promoted a civil disobedience action in Aarau Kanton TV - Radio - paper building.

The action has also condemned the silence of the Swiss press against the hunger strike and the death fast resistance.
