A new Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) operation has been carried out today in the province of Dersim where police and special operation teams raided Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) office and municipality as well as many houses early in the morning. At least 14 people have been taken into custody in the scope of the operation which expanded to the districts of Nazimiye and Pertek as well.

BDP Municipality's Private Secretariat worker Gülten Kahraman and Press Officer and People Referent Sevim Soylu, BDP provincial chair Ali Haydar Ýpekoðlu as well as BDP former provincial chair, City Council members and HDK (People's Democratic Congress) Dersim Spokesperson are among those reported detained in the operation.  

The operation has reportedly been carried out upon the instruction by Specially Authorized Prosecutor of Malatya. Detainees were taken to Dersim Police Headquarters.
