Detained HDP MPs released after “forced court appearance”

HDP Group Deputy Chair Ahmet Yıldırım and Urfa MP Osman Baydemir were detained at Diyarbakır Courthouse where they were following the trial in KCK Main Case. Both Yıldırım and Baydemir were released after giving their statements at Diyarbakır 2nd Heavy Penal Court in accordance with a “forced court appearance” order issued for them.
On the other hand, HDP Iğdır MP Mehmet Emin Adıyaman who was also detained in Istanbul earlier today due to a “forced court appearance” order has been released.
Adıyaman was taken to Istanbul Courthouse and he attended a trial at Iğdır Heavy Penal Court through video conference system SEGBİS. Adıyaman was later released on conditions of judicial control and a ban on leaving the country.
In the meantime, HDP Amed MP İmam Taşçıer, who was similarly taken into custody by police while leaving his house in Amed due to a “forced court appearance” order, has also been released.
Taşçıer was taken to Diyarbakır Courthouse and gave his statement in the scope of the investigation launched by Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office for “insulting the President”. He was released after his testimony.
