Detentions and arrests continue in several cities

İSTANBUL

HDP Provincial Co-presidents Aysel Güzel and Doğan Erbaş, Alevi Bektaşi Federation General Secretary and Sultangazi Cemevi President Zeynel Odabaşı, HDP Beylikdüzü District Co-president Hasan Temur and HDP Esenyurt District Co-president Mücahir İlhan were detained today.

URFA

190 people were detained across Urfa today. Co-mayors, provincial and district administrators and other HDP and DBP officials including DBP Ceylanpınar District Co-president Gülten Ceylan, DBP  district administrators Yılmaz Tuncer and Emin Arak, and HDP district administrators İsmail Kahraman, Zeynep Demir, Murat Güner and Veysel Bulut were arrested, and police officers played Turkish nationalist songs during the operations.

HAKKARİ

HDP Provincial Co-president Evin Konur and the former DBP Provincial Co-president Zübeyde Bor, who had been detained yesterday, were brought to court today. Konur was released but Bor was charged with “membership in an organization” and arrested.

VAN

Quarrels broke out between the people protesting the bombing in İstanbul and students from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University because of the racist slogans of the protestors, and police officers detained many students including Erhan Yumru, Kamil Çekiç, Mehmet Yavuz, Ali Akçam and Yakup Çabuk.
