Four people have been arrested in the southern provinces of Adana and Mersin on Friday in the scope of Mersin centered KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) operation on 25 September.
The mentioned KCK operation which targeted BDP Akdeniz Municipality’s ÝÞTAR Counseling Center for Women’s Solidarity, BDP Mersin Politics Academy, BDP Mersin office and more than 40 other addresses ended up with the detention of around 40 people among whom twenty-five were remanded in custody four days later for alleged “membership and leadership of the KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) organization”.
The prosecution office of Adana has on Friday once again issued an arrest warrant for eleven people who had been detained in the same operation but were released on 29 September after bearing testimony to Adana 8th and 9th High Criminal Courts.
DIHA reporter Ferhat Arslan, BDP Akdeniz district vice-chair Sýtký Aydemir, Mersin GKM worker Mehmet Uluyer and Akdeniz Municipality worker Hüseyin Duran have therewith been arrested once again on Friday. Detainees will reportedly be sent to Kürkçüler F Type Closed Prison in Adana after the fulfillment of official procedures.
