Riot police in Taksim Square has also attacked Divan Hotel in Taksim, using intense tear gas against hundreds of people who took refuge in the hotel after the brutal attack targeting the people in Gezi Park in the evening.

The hotel which has opened its doors to protestors in the area is also being used as an infirmary. Those wounded are being taken to hospitals with ambulances.

People in the hotel are concerned over further police intervention in the hotel following the transfer of the wounded to hospitals.
