The third Diyarbakır International Workers Film Festival has opened with a march from Urfakapı to Sümerpark late Thursday.

Following the festival march, Kaldırım music band gave a concert here, singing its songs in Kurdish, Turkish, Arabic, Armenian and Georgian languages.

The concert was followed by the presentation of Halil Aygün's short feature film Dom which tells the story of the Romans living in Nusaybin, a district of Mardin.

The festival will last till 9 May with various activities.
