Diyarbakır set for 15 February demos

In a press conference on Wednesday, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Diyarbakır provincial organization announced a march on 15 February, at the 14th anniversary of the capture in Kenya of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan. The march will start from the neighbourhood of 5 Nisan and end at Koşuyolu Park at 1pm local time.
Speaking at the conference, BDP provincial co-chair Zübeyde Zümrüt said 15 February was a dark day for the Kurdish people and said that; "The conspiracy operation led by international powers and Turkey has been defeated by the resistance Abdullah Öcalan has displayed in Imralı prison for the last 14 years and the Kurdish people's commitment to their leader."
Zümrüt noted that Mr. Öcalan has been subject to an unrestrained isolation for 14 years.
Zümrüt remarked that the Kurdish people will organize a massive demo on 15 February in support of Mr. Öcalan's significant role on the way to a solution to the Kurdish question. "Our resistance will continue until Mr. Öcalan gains his freedom and concrete steps are taken for an urgent solution to the Kurdish question", she added.
Zümrüt called on all Kurdish people to participate to the protest march on 15 February and wear something red as a symbol of resistance.
