The Democratic Free Women's Movement (DÖKH) published a press release to protest against the ongoing isolation of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader, Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been allowed to meet his lawyers for six weeks.
The statement underlined that Kurdish people do not want to be exposed to cultural violence and that the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) wants to annihilate the Kurdish People.
"We see Öcalan's health, security and freedom as ours. All women will resist against these policies. Our power comes from resistance and struggle. We call on all Kurdish women to resist and struggle to end these policies against Öcalan" the statement said.
